Starting an Online Business

Starting an online business is definitely not for the faint of heart. It takes an enormous amount of time, money, and patience. You have to have the guts to stick with it even when things don’t look promising. You have to be willing to learn the ropes, and then take what you’ve learned and put it into practice.

Most are Doomed to Failure

Most people that get started will make it through the early stages. They’ll invest a few hundreds bucks in courses, books, and seminars. They might even try the water by throwing up a website. But that’s when the rubber really meets the road, and things start to get interesting. At that point, 99 out of 100 will throw up their hands and say to themselves that it’s impossible. (Note: Thinking something is impossible is a good way to make yourself feel better about giving up on your dreams.)

The Brave Press On

But there are a few that have enough sticktoitiveness to stay the course. Those brave souls will likely face the scrutiny of their peers. They have to listen to the naysayers that will gladly tell them it can’t be done. They have to give up their get-rich-quick fantasies and get their hands dirty in the real world. They’ll have to brave the rushing current of change that occurs on the internet. To stay afloat, they’ll have to learn how to embrace change - and maybe even learn to anticipate it.

Anything is Possible

The benefits of operating an online business are well worth the investment of time and resources.  The ability to work from anywhere there’s an internet connection, a global market for your goods or services, and the ability to automate much of your day to day operations are just a few things that make doing business online so great.

The main thing to remember is that there is great potential to earn money online for anyone willing to acquire the skills necessary.  And in those areas where you may be weak, you can always find a partner or hire others to assist you.

Recession Worries Got You Down? Make Money Online!

With all of the doom and gloom handed out by traditional media on a daily basis, it’s no wonder people are getting anxious about the economy.  Oil prices are soaring, retail prices are following suit, housing prices are eroding, the value of the dollar continues to slide, and on and on and on…  Okay, we get it.  Some bad decisions were made, and it’s causing a little pain at the moment.  We’re going to have to pay up for a while until we can turn this thing around.

But, on the other hand, entrepreneurship is becoming a more viable career choice.  I read somewhere that college graduates are choosing to go into business for themselves at an increasing rate.  It seems that stories about teens starting and growing a profitable online business are becoming the norm.  Of course, from their perspective, it’s all just fun and games.  When Mom’s paying your way, it’s easy to invest your time in a questionable endeavor that may never pay off.  But what if you’re Mom?  Would it be possible for you to make money online without risking everything in the process?

The answer is most definitely, “Yes.”  And in the next few days, I’ll be releasing a series of videos that go into detail to show you exactly how you could easily make enough extra money online each and every month to cover two car payments or the mortgage.  And if you’ll just keep applying these principles, who knows where you might end up?

Try to avoid the doom and gloom stories.  They do nothing but sap your strength and prevent you from taking the action that will lead to positive results.  There’s a whole new game in the works.  The rules might be a little different, and the challenge might take us out of our comfort zones, but the excitement is unmatched.  It will take us back to where we need to be - back in the driver’s seat of our lives.

Stay tuned - much more to come…

Persistence in Spite of Obstacles

Building a successful online business takes time and commitment.  Despite what some online salesmen may tell you, chances are good that you probably won’t strike it rich overnight.  But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t at least give it a shot.

When you first begin building your own business, you’re going to face many obstacles.  I promise you will.  I don’t care who you are or how smart you are, you’re going to have a few difficulties along the way.  But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t start.

I’ve read stories about very successful people from all walks of life, and most of them tell of at least one major struggle they had to face.  And many of them will admit that they actually considered giving up at some point.  Often, it’s at the point where success is just around the corner that people choose to throw in the towel.  Why is that?  Probably because success comes through persistence, and to persist means to work through barriers to get to the rewards on the other side.

Napoleon Hill, in his famous book, “Think & Grow Rich”, states that persistence is the key to success - not talent, not genius, but persistence in spite of all obstacles.  Talented people fail every day for lack of belief in themselves.  Intelligent people also fail.  It could be due to a lack of focused effort, the fear of taking a risk when it’s warranted, or the unwillingness to push through walls to find success.

A very wise man once told his followers, “In this life you will have trouble.  Of that you can be sure.”  This man could walk on water.  He could make blind men see again.  He could turn water into wine.  And yet, he knew that the human condition is one that includes pain and suffering.  It is a given.  But, he assured us that we could go on and win the race.

What are your obstacles?

Are you facing some struggles of your own?  Maybe you or someone in your family is battling a terrible illness.  Or maybe you’ve recently lost someone who is very close.  Perhaps you’ve faced some financial setbacks that are causing you to question what you will possibly do to recover.  Or maybe you’ve simply been pushed to the limit by overly demanding customers.

You need to know that no matter what you are going through, there are others facing those exact same issues with the strength of will necessary to carry on.  With each adversity that comes your way, you can take the loser’s way out and choose to give up.  Or you can say to yourself, “This too shall pass.” and carry on like the true winner you know you want to be.

The choice is yours.  And only you know who’s counting on you to see this thing through.

You can do it!
